"I'm too old."

If you are considering donation for the first time, are aged between 16-60 years and in good health – you can donate.
"Nobody has ever asked me."

Consider yourself invited.
"You wouldn't want my blood I'm common 'O' group."

We constantly need donors of all blood groups.
"But I've recently been ill."

Wait until you are well again. If in doubt, contact our medical staff.
"Oh, but I'm anaemic."

We test for anaemia before every donation.
"But I'm on medication."

Many people on medication can still be accepted as blood donors. If in doubt, contact us.
"I've recently been overseas."

Depending on the country you visited, your blood can still be used for its plasma.
"I hate needles."

It is a relatively pain-free process and we'll do our best to put you at ease.
"But I'm too small."

Not if you are 50kg or more
"But it will make me weak."

After a short rest and a snack your are generally able to resume normal duties.
"I'm afraid of getting AIDS."

All equipment is sterile - used once and then discarded.
"I'm too busy and it's too inconvenient."

It only takes about 45 minutes every three months.
"I don't know where to donate"
